Anxiety Disorder

Unrelenting and excessive worrying that can be both repetitive and disruptive. This is the simplest definition for generalized anxiety disorder, a psychological problem that affects millions of people worldwide. Generalized anxiety disorder is more frequent in the 20 to 30 group age, although this is not a rule. However, the number of children and teenagers suffering from the condition is pretty high too. An important aspect here is that generalized anxiety disorder does not start abruptly in older age, it normally progresses from less serious forms until it reaches maximum intensity. Regular worries don’t represent symptoms of this disorder as they are part of normal daily life.  Seattle HCG Diet & Weight Loss.

People who suffer from generalized anxiety disorder usually lead normal lives, but they are full of exaggerated tension and dread all the time even when there is nothing to cause their worrying. Nevertheless, the intensity of the psychological and physiological symptoms could interfere with normal tasks specific to work and household activities. Drugs are often prescribed for symptom management, but there are many forms of treatment aiming at generalized anxiety disorder. If you rely only on medication, chances are that you’ll suffer from side effects and when you discontinue the treatment the panic attacks will start all over again.  Seattle Renton Bellevue HCG Diet & Weight Loss.

Psychotherapy should improve the condition of  a patient’s generalized anxiety disorder, on the one condition that he/she be an active participant to the treatment. Therapy, regardless of its nature, ought to teach people how to self-soothe and eliminate the thoughts that keep the constant tension in their bodies and minds. Meditation, breathing techniques, positive thinking, hobbies, yoga, neuro-linguistic programing and so reduce the level of anxiety if practice correctly and steadily. It is also good to know that the symptoms of generalized anxiety disorder are more intense during certain moments of the day or on some days of the week.  Seattle Renton Bellevue HCG Diet & Weight Loss.

People suffering from generalized anxiety disorder have all the chances of recovery if the right treatment or approach to the ailment is taken. However, the vicious circle cannot be broken for years sometimes, either because therapy is incorrectly chosen or because learned techniques are difficult to put into practice. Therefore, individual factors such as self-awareness, perseverance and determination in finding a treatment will normally contribute to the mental health condition.

Addressing Anxiety Disorder

Excessive and unrelenting worrying that can be both repetitive and disruptive. We can thus define in very simple terms the specificity of generalized anxiety disorder, a health issue that affects more and more people all over the world. Although encountered in all group ages, generalized anxiety disorder usually appears between twenty and thirty years of age. There are very many teenagers and children affected by this illness as well. An important aspect here is that generalized anxiety disorder seldom starts abruptly in older age, and people who experience it in the elderly years have it as a chronic ailment that started much earlier. Regular worries don’t represent symptoms of this disorder as they are part of normal daily life.  Seattle HCG Diet & Weight Loss.

People affected by a generalized anxiety disorder are normally capable of carrying on with their activities, but they feel restless, full of fear and worries even without an apparent reason. Nevertheless, the intensity of the physiological and psychological symptoms could disrupt normal tasks specific to work and household activities. There are many treatments available for generalized anxiety disorder and, although drugs seem like the easy way to keeping things under control, they are not. Anti-anxiety medication treats the symptoms but leaves you just as exposed to panic attacks and excessive worrying once the treatment is over.  Seattle Renton Bellevue HCG Diet & Weight Loss.

Psychotherapy should normally help a patient diagnosed with generalized anxiety disorder, but he or she should be fully committed to the treatment. Therapy, no matter of its specificity, should teach people how to self-soothe and eliminate the thoughts that keep the constant tension in their minds and bodies.

People suffering from generalized anxiety disorder can recover very well if they follow a good treatment pattern. However, the vicious circle cannot be broken for years sometimes, either because therapy is incorrectly chosen or because learned techniques are difficult to put into practice. Therefore, personal factors such as self-awareness, perseverance and determination in finding a treatment will normally contribute to the mental health condition.

PMS Symptoms? Common Sense Solutions!

 WHAT IS PMS?

For a lot of women, the time before menstruation may be filled with intense physical and emotional discomfort initiated by chemical-hormonal changes in the body. However, the cause of this condition deserves further investigation.

PreMenstrual Syndrome (PMS) symptoms can be dreadfully disturbing. However, they can be remedied and equilibrium can be established. In fact, with an adept master herbalist, who has a long established practice in Chinese medicine, most PMS conditions can quickly be resolved, get at the root concern while providing a natural solution. many activities of daily living (ADL).

Probably, since the internal organs have become stressed, the liver ceases to filter the blood while the spleen doesn’t have the energy to move the blood as usual. Any stress or extreme life habit can disturb them easily. The above link goes to solutions that reverse this stress and aging process.

Additional PMS FACTS

  • Scientific research has not determined the specific cause of PMS. All the same, PMS is understood to be connected to both neuro-psychological and hormonal factors. The common element between the factors is the blood and its quality.
  • {PMS is most prevalent among women in their late 20s to early 40s, with at least one child, or with a past history of either postpartum depression or an emotional disorder}.
  • PMS is estimated to affect 75% of the women during their childrearing years.

Don’t Miss This! No More Menopause!

Allopathic Medicine May Well Be Mistaken!

The position that the reason for all the menopause symptoms is due to an imbalance of hormones is a superficial perspective and deserves a deeper look. Menopause symptoms may include:

  • hot flashes
  • irregular periods
  • vaginal & urinary changes
  • sleep disturbances
  • feeling overwhelmed
  • weight gain
  • loss of desire
  • craving: sweet carbs, alcohol
  • minor to major depression
  • hair loss
  • ear ringing
  • headaches
  • bloating, nausea
  • worsening allergies
  • bone density loss
  • changes in breath & body odor
  • decreased fertility
  • night sweats
  • changes in appearance
  • fatigue
  • vaginal dryness
  • irritability
  • constipation/diarrhea
  • anxiety/palpitations
  • memory problems & fuzzy thinking
  • fibroids
  • aching joints
  • changes in menstruation
  • changes in sexual desire or function
  • mood swings
  • hair loss/thinning
  • Skin changes

Are these symptoms tied to deficiency of hormones? Could it be systemic? The whole body is may be suffering from top to bottom.

ANOTHER PROPOSAL - UNDERLYING CAUSE:

Traditional Chinese Medicine perspective: Menopause is considered a deficiency condition of the liver and qi (life force). When the blood and energy quality is depleted and contaminated then all of the organs cannot complete their tasks. This condition causes the liver to overheat which rises through the body, wreaking havoc in its path. The heart, lungs, digestion, glands, throat, mouth & teeth, nose, eyes, ears, brain, skin and hair become heated and dried resulting in the symptoms, listed above. In addition, the liver does not filter the blood where it becomes sluggish and clotted.

Because the body is deficient of essential body energy and quality filtered blood, then the glands do not perform normally. Their emission may be intermittent or non- secreting overall. while the blood is cleansed, usually enriched, then all the body’s organs advance. Progressively, the energy returns and body functionality re-stabilizes. The glandular functions, secrete once again, assisting the body in its healthy function.

The body is not deficient of hormones. The blood is clogged like sludge. Glands are not receiving/transmitting essential messages, timely and/or minimally!

Then why do we add or give more hormones. Doesn’t that risk an overload of hormones? Recall when you were a teenager and your hormones were extremely revved. We don’t want to risk going through that again. We have sufficient hormones. If we nourish our blood, exercise, sleep, manage stress, etc. our hormones come back and supports increased balance.

So if Chinese medicine knows the problem, then what is their answer to this to this deficiency? View underneath.

What Restores Normal Hormone Function?

Chinese Medicine Has Had An Answer for this for More Than a 1000 Years!

Traditional Chinese Medicine has 20+ formulas for menopause. Nevertheless which one is top performing? This requires a seasoned Master herbalist to respond to this. While most women fall into 6 major constitution types such as:

  • cold
  • damp
  • deficient
  • hot
  • dry
  • excess

Most menopausal women are a deficient constitution with hot characteristics and benefit 95% of the time from Chinese herbs for menopause or Menopause Comfort. I know that is a little confusing but more info follows. The exception occurs in the summer.

Some women, who are more hot than the usual population, require a colder (Chinese herbs for menopause) formula, Paramalin, to offset the excess internal heat produced in the liver.

“3000 Years of Chinese Herbal Medicine Provides the Best Menopause Formulation”

Whereas, not all females experience intense symptoms of menopause, sufficient numbers are distressed deserving reprieve. The herbs, below, balance the hormones-progesterone & estrogen, cool nourish and stimulate the liver. This recovers the blood which aids all the body organs and enhances the body’s functioning. The herb composition balances and lessens the conditions mentioned above.

These herbs work best for Menopause symptoms by reducing the typical heat signs stemming from the liver managing too much toxicity and/or excess food intake, blood congestion, etc.

You Don’t Want to Miss This? Stop PMS Pain!

When You Are Caught in this Condition …

Most women experience some discomfort while at both ends of the spectrum, women experience no pain and others writh through a cycle of monthly pain. So why is this the case? From a Traditional Chinese Medicine perspective, PMS (Premenstrual Syndrome) is considered a deficiency condition of the blood. When the blood is weak and lacking the nourishment essential for all the organs to function. In particular, your glands are not able to send their messages via hormones in harmony with the rest of the body. In addition, the liver does not filter the blood while the spleen is not optimally moving the blood. When the blood is filtered and transport is in balance with the whole human body then the hormones are communicating, effectively. When circulation becomes obstructed with a buildup of blood components and is sticky then communication amongst glands is impeded or nil. It is not a matter that your hormones are deficient but rather the hormones are obstructed thus causing the body to be out of sync. You have adequate hormones!

For a remedy to correct the blood pollution, the spleen and liver must be energized and nourished. When they kick into optimal gear then the blood flows through the arteries, veins, capillaries and organs supplying quality and functional blood. Whereupon, the body’s energy reserve increases, the emotional state follows, pain cessates, refreshing sleep improves, etc.

These conditions need to be addressed by a master formula to be considered effective and beneficial for a PMS sufferer:

  • Cramps and spasms
  • Hormonal imbalance (progesterone, estrogen, etc.)
  • Menorrhagia (too much menstruation) or the opposite
  • High or low blood pressure
  • Aching all over
  • Minor to major depression
  • Eating disorders related to hormonal challenges
  • Poor digestion
  • Constipation
  • Insomnia
  • Palpitations
  • PMS
  • Cold hands & feet
  • Chronic fatigue
  • Irritability

Chinese herbs and formula have been developed over many generations of master herbalists.Chinese master herbalists congregated over 500 years ago and decided that one master formula through the ages was the most beneficial for this condition. In fact, this formula was handed to current master herbalists (Chinese medicine) where it is, effectively, applied, daily, to clients.

If You Had An Anxiety Disorder, Would You Realise?

Panic and anxiety attacks are on the increase. Who knows whether it’s our modern more stressful way of life or not. No matter the cause, they are increasing and causing more people more problems than ever.

Could you spot if you were having a panic or anxiety attack? That’s a difficult question to answer as the symptoms are quite wide ranging and can vary from mild to the downright frightening. You may just experience a hot sweat or you may experience an attack where you can’t breath and your heart races out of control.

I think if you were having the more serious symptoms you would know you needed some type of help. But you could also be having mild symptoms and not even know it’s an anxiety related attack. This could be a warning sign that things are about to get worse, much worse.

My wife suffered a bad panic attack while she was out driving our car. Needless to say it wasn’t just the actual anxiety attack that frightened her but the fact she could have crashed and killed herself and others. This scenario just doesn’t bear thinking about.

If you haven’t been feeling yourself lately, maybe you’ve had one or two of these symptoms… Difficulty sleeping, a bit on edge or anxious, can’t concentrate, constantly irritated or fidgeting a lot. Having any of these mild symptoms could be a warning sign.

But before you actually have a panic attack thinking about those symptoms let me put your mind at ease. There are many normal things that can cause symptoms like those. And you shouldn’t worry about them. Lack of sleep may just be too much caffeine. Fidgeting may be uncomfortable clothing.

If you would rather be safe than sorry you can find out if you are heading for anxiety attacks. You can take an anxiety symptoms test which may give you a better idea. The test involves answering yes or no to a few questions and adding your score up at the end.

You can then make a better informed decision to seek out further help or not. There’s an anxiety (panic) symptoms test here.

Identifying Anxiety and Stress

Daily life with all its challenges and unexpected situations is a permanent source of anxiety and stress. Life inevitably causes tension, and it often stimulates us to work harder and achieve more of the set goals. However, sometimes anxiety and stress cannot be called stimulating factors but present in too high proportions in one’s life: anxiety disorders are a nervous disease and they have to be treated. Such a health problem makes the sufferer experience anxiety and stress most of the time, even when there is no reason for feeling so. In Joe Barry McDonagh’s Panic Away book he addresses ways to stop anxiety attacks. Another helpful aid to stop anxiety attacks is Charles Linden’s The Linden Method instruction guide.

Anxiety and stress will ruin your entire day, making you incapable of work, not to mention the constant fear of getting a panic attack. It is false to assume that these health problem represent a character flaw; stop believing that this happens because you are weak. Lots of people try the approach of pulling themselves up by the bootstraps, but this very seldom works. Therapy becomes necessary, sometimes supported by the administration of antidepressants or tranquilizers. Therefore, before resuming a normal life, all the factors that cause anxiety and stress have to be identified in order to end anxiety attack episodes.

A disorder caused by anxiety and stress has two types of components: psychological and biological, and therefore the solution for the problem has to include a combination of interventions relying both on cognitive and behavioral psychotherapy. Family history and genetics have their share among the possible triggers of an anxiety disorder, but there are other factors that play a significant role in the development of the disease. Substance and alcohol abuse, traumas, major life decisions, the impossibility to cope with too much stress, emotional instability and lots of other problems could hide behind recurrent panic attacks.

Family support is incredibly important in the fight against anxiety and stress. An anxiety disorder also seems less likely to appear in families with a harmonious and balanced lifestyle. Nevertheless, coping with stress represents a natural mechanism in regular life, and only when too much pressure is put on our nervous system, it may fail. Moreover, the recovery is also improved by family support. An active involvement in therapy, a good relationship with the doctor, informative research and family environment, represent the most important ways of speeding up recovery.

TREATING ANXIETY IN GROUP THERAPY

About 6-15 anxiety disorder patients are typically treated at the same time in an anxiety group therapy, contrary to consulting a therapist individually. However, dealing with anxiety in group therapy has some benefits, but disadvantages as well.

Because all the participants in a group have the same disorder experienced themselves, which will give the individual a more comfortable feeling. He or she will soon begin to realize that their problem is not an isolated one. Once they accept that there are other people in the same situation, it can turn out to be life-affirming for them, especially if the anxiety disorder makes them believe that they are some sort of an outsider or being a “freak” or being different from, and for that reason inferior to the majority of society.

One of the great advantages of anxiety group therapy is the input of the experience the fellow patients have. It can help in discovering answers to everyone’s problems. A therapist might not have established that by him- or herself.

The patient, when learning coping skills like the ones learned through cognitive anxiety therapy, can benefit from understandings based on shared experiences of a situation which causes anxiety, suggested by the patient’s group members.

The comfortof being in a group setting lessens anxiety and can relax the patient. It motivates the individual to speak about goals, ambitions and likely solutions to the problems that is the source of the anxiety disorder. This a great benefit of anxiety group therapy over individual treatments.

Unluckily there are some clear disadvantages that anxiety group therapy has over individualized treatment. Because it is a group setting, the therapist could be limited to approach the participants just in general, contrary to tailored solutions required by each patient’s needs. Further, these settings might limit the time the therapist can find to deal with everyone’s individual problem appropriately. This can cause a feeling of being lost in the crowd.

Because of this reason, group anxiety therapy programs are usually run in conjunction with individual sessions with a health care professional. In order to have one to one counseling with a therapist or licensed counselor, each patient is pulled out of the group for a set time each day. Themes that cannot be adequately handled in a group setting are dealt with there, such as the individual’s medication. Both, anxiety group therapy and individual therapy together will guarantee that all the patient’s needs are met.
